Families Against Mandatory Minimums
FAMM is the national voice for fair and proportionate sentencing laws. They show the human face of sentencing, advocate for state and federal sentencing reform, and mobilize thousands of individuals and families whose lives are adversely affected by unjust sentences. FAMM works to change mandatory sentencing laws through the legislative process on the federal and state levels, participation in precedent-setting legal cases and by educating the public.

The John Howard Association
The John Howard Association works to achieve a fair, humane and cost-effective criminal justice system by promoting adult and juvenile prison reform, leading to successful re-integration and enhanced community safety. Chiefly, they are citizen monitors of the Illinois Department of Corrections and the Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice.

The National Priorities Project (NPP)
NPP focuses on the impacts of federal tax and spending policies at the community level. NPP works to translate policy information into everyday language in order to assist national and grassroots groups in their efforts to improve schools, create living wage jobs, provide affordable housing, and develop alternatives to excessive spending on the military and prisons.

The Prison Creative Arts Project of the University of Michigan is committed to supporting the production of original work in the arts in Michigan Correctional Facilities. PCAP’s purpose is to enhance creative opportunities for incarcerated people.
